Import & Asset Management Officer

Job Responsibilities

  • Review Shipping Documents: Verify importation documents (CIPL, BL, Form E, COO, insurance, etc.) for accuracy and compliance.
  • Coordinate Customs Clearance: Work with logistics, warehouse teams, and forwarders to ensure timely customs clearance and cargo release.
  • Permit Management: Liaise with Customs and PPJK to process loading/unloading permits and secure necessary import permits (e.g., Iron and Steel, Quota PIBB).
  • Tariff Optimization: Verify goods, HS codes, and pricing; identify alternatives to minimize import duties.
  • Cross-Team Coordination: Collaborate with Contract and Procurement teams to ensure compliance with import restrictions and contract terms.
  • Import Planning: Develop and manage Kaltara Project’s import plan, ensuring readiness and tracking progress.
  • Reporting & Issue Resolution: Provide weekly progress reports and resolve obstacles to ensure smooth importation.
  • Export Planning: Contribute to export planning for the upcoming year

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in import coordination, logistics, or supply chain management, preferably in a project-based or large-scale operation for minimal 3 years.
  • In-depth knowledge of customs regulations, import permits, tariff codes (HS codes), and international shipping documents.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills to coordinate effectively with internal teams, suppliers, and external logistics providers.
  • Experience working with the Customs and PPJK for clearance procedures.
  • Ability to manage complex logistics operations and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Fluent in both written and spoken English. Knowledge of Mandarin language is an advantage.
